We colour, cut, style and extend hair, and we diagnose and treat hair loss and scalp conditions in the same building.
Most people arrive for one and end up using both, because the two are not separate problems. Your colour sits on your scalp. Your scalp decides what your hair can do.
Prices below start from. What you actually pay depends on your hair length and how much product it takes, and you get that number before anything begins.
Hair loss and scalp health
Start with an answer, not a product.
If your hair is shedding, thinning, breaking, or has simply never grown past a certain point, there is a reason. Most people are handed a shampoo and told to be patient. That is not a plan.
At the Hair Lab your scalp is examined under magnification and your history is taken properly. You leave knowing what is happening, why it is happening, and what will genuinely help.
The Diagnostic Ritual
A microscopic evaluation of your scalp and follicles. We look at the biological drivers behind shedding, sensitivity or imbalance, and you go home with a written plan for what to do about it. The $150 comes back off your treatment plan when you book one.
The Cellular Renewal Scalp Facial
A deep scalp detox for buildup, stubborn sebum and micro inflammation, using our hydro dermabrasion machine. Exfoliation, extraction, a targeted nourishment infusion, and a scalp massage that undoes about six months of tension.
The Follicle Infusion Therapy
A regenerative treatment aimed at circulation and dormant roots. Medical grade actives are delivered into the dermis to build density and support stronger growth from the source.
The Comprehensive Hair and Scalp Restoration Program
Our full reset. A complete diagnostic scan, then a corrective treatment built for your scalp, delivered weekly for sixteen weeks, alongside a home care routine you actually follow. This is a serious option, and it is not for everybody. The Diagnostic Ritual tells us whether you need it.
Cutting
A cut that still works on a Tuesday.
Anyone can make hair look good the moment you stand up out of the chair. The test is the third morning, when you are doing it yourself in a hurry.

Colour
Colour that grows out beautifully.
The mark of good colour is not the first week. It is week eight, when the regrowth line is soft instead of a shelf, and you have not started avoiding the mirror.
How colour is priced, realistically
Every colour service is quoted on a standard measure of product. If your hair is thicker, longer, or the regrowth is further out than usual, it takes more colour, and the extra is weighed and added at the counter through our Vish scales.
It means you pay for the product that went on your head, not a flat fee that quietly overcharges everyone with short hair. You will always be told before we start.

All things blonde
Blonde is a technique, not a bottle.
Foils, balayage, teasylights and babylights. Which one you need depends on where your hair is now and where you want it in a year, not on what you saw on a screen.
Book a consultation first if you are changing direction. Blonde done in the wrong order is the most expensive mistake in hairdressing.

Extensions
We will tell you exactly where your hair came from.
Ask us where the hair is from and you get a straight answer. Most salons cannot give you one, and that is worth knowing before you have it sewn into your head.
We fit butterfly weft, sew in weft and wide tape weft, and we will tell you which suits your hair rather than which we prefer to install.

The questions we get most.
How much does a haircut cost at Silk Hair Lab?
A wash, cut and blow wave starts at $130 and a basic trim without a wash starts at $85. The price depends on your hair length, and you are given the exact figure before we begin.
Why did my colour cost more than the price listed?
Because your hair took more product. Colour is quoted on a standard measure, and anything above that is weighed on our Vish scales and added at the counter. It is the fairest way we have found to do it, and you are always told before we start.
How long does a full head of foils take?
Around 90 minutes for the foils themselves, from $260. Add time if you are toning, cutting or blow waving afterwards, and we will book that time in for you rather than rushing the end of it.
Do I need a consultation before colour or extensions?
If you are changing direction with colour, or getting extensions for the first time, yes. It is fifteen minutes that decides whether the next year of your hair goes well or expensively.
Where does Silk Hair Lab get its extensions?
We will tell you the exact source of any hair we put in your head. Ask us. Most salons cannot answer this.

The study of the hair and scalp, and of what makes them behave the way they do. In practice it means your scalp is examined under magnification and your history is taken properly, before anyone sells you a product.
Do I need the Diagnostic Ritual before a scalp treatment?
Yes, and there is a reason. There is no way to know what your scalp needs without looking at it first. The $150 comes back off your treatment plan when you book one.
Can hair loss be reversed?
Sometimes, and it depends entirely on the cause. Hair loss from stress, illness, diet, hormones or damage often responds well to treatment. Scarring hair loss will not regrow, but it can be slowed. This is exactly what a consultation is for.
